Santacruz was built in 1942 on the site of the old city airbase, Juhu airfield. It was then expanded with an additional terminal at Andheri to meet air traffic needs. Originally known as Sahara International Airport, in 1999 it was renamed Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in honor of the famous King of Marathi.

Terminals at Mumbai Airport


There are 2 terminals in Mumbai -

Mumbai Airport terminal 1 - It is the oldest terminal and also stands for Domestic terminal. Another name for this is Santacruz Airport. Activities are divided on a level basis.
